Central Region Virtual Urgent Care Clinic

Is virtual urgent care the right service for you?

A virtual appointment with an urgent care nurse practitioner may be the right option for you if you meet the criteria below:

  • You have a medical condition or injury that is non-life threatening

  • You are unable to get a timely appointment with your primary care provider, or if you do not have a primary care provider

  • You are six months of age or older

If you have any of the below symptoms, please DO NOT request an appointment. You should be seen in-person at your nearest Emergency Department:

  • Chest pain or new abdominal pain

  • Seizures

  • Stroke like symptoms such as facial drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty, dizziness, or headaches

  • Shortness of breath, dizziness/fainting

  • Internal bleeding

  • Numbness or weakness in arms or legs

  • Major trauma

  • Fever in infants six months and younger

  • Overdosing/poisoning

  • Pregnancy-related emergencies

  • Any serious condition that you feel is getting worse

  • Workplace accident

    • A valid email address or phone number

    • A smartphone, computer, or tablet that has working audio and video capabilities

    • Access to a webcam (built-in or USB plug-in to your device)

    • Access to a cell phone or landline

    • Strong internet connection

  • If there are no virtual appointments available and your family physician is unable to see you within the next 48 hours, or you do not have a family physician, you may want to consider going to an Emergency Department.

Please note, the Central Region Virtual Urgent Care Clinic provider may not be permitted to prescribe certain medications during your appointment including narcotics, controlled substances, or other types of controlled medications.

If you are having a medical emergency or your symptoms worsen while you are waiting for a virtual appointment, call 9-1-1 or visit your nearest Emergency Department in person.
