Children six months to 18 years

If your child is experiencing any of the following symptoms please proceed to the nearest Emergency Department:

• Fever in infants six months and younger

• Difficulty breathing

• Trouble swallowing

• New onset or severe abdominal pain

• Severe vomiting and/or blood in vomit

• Severe diarrhea and/or blood in stool

• Traumatic injuries (e.g. head injury, fractures, lacerations)

• Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)

• Severe/new onset headache

• Seizures

• Altered level of consciousness, confusion, or behavioural change

If you are unsure of how sick your child is, and unsure if your child needs emergency care, please bring your child to the nearest Emergency Department.

Adults 18+

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms please proceed to the nearest Emergency Department:

• Chest pain or new abdominal pain

• Seizures

• Stroke, such as face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulties, dizziness, and headaches

• Severe shortness of breath, dizziness/fainting

• Internal bleeding

• Numbness or weakness in arms or legs

• Major trauma

• Overdose/poisoning

• Pregnancy-related emergencies

• Any serious condition that you feel is getting worse

• Workplace accident

• Other conditions that require emergency care or are life threatening.
